It’s from childhood days what we are taught if you don’t do this, what will others say. For example, as a child, if you are in the habit of leaving food on the plate, you are told to finish it off; otherwise, what will other’s think. This conditioning has been deeply ingrained in all of us from our childhood days. Now, it’s up to us to understand whether this condition serves us or lets us down.

In some way, most of us tend to give it to the thoughts of what others think. However, for a long time, it’s a recipe to let you down. We are always looking at external validation to feel good, and as a result, we never really value ourselves. We need to come out of this loop and appreciate ourselves and stop caring what others may think

1) It’s their perspective of their life, not your life

People are generally thinking and constantly evaluating everyone from their limited perspective of their life’s experience. But, ultimately, we have to make decisions on the choices which are available to us.

2) It’s your journey and not theirs

Life is full of your experiences as you journey through them. But, unfortunately, people don’t know what you have experienced and what you are going through. Therefore it’s vital to living your life to the fullest.

3) It isn’t easy to please everyone

As simple it may sound, it’s challenging to make people happy. Therefore, you should live life as per your expectations so that at the end of the day or week, when you introspect, you lead a happy and contented life.

4) Practice Mindfulness

Awareness is vital to see things happening around us. As we apply mindfulness, we become more aware. It also helps us live in the moment and get a better perspective of things happening around us. Scientific Evidence suggests that mindfulness can make you peaceful, relaxed, and be more productive at work.

5) Accept Yourself

It is essential to accept yourself- the way you are. You are unique and trust yourself to live the life of your dreams. It’s vital to choose to live your life in alignment with your highest purpose.

6) Build a Positive Self Image

Self-Image, defined, is how you see yourself. It may be concerning how you see yourself physically or what opinion you have of yourself, and others had about you. It is essential as it impacts your self-confidence.

7) Create A Vision of your Future Self

It’s essential to create the vision goals that help you to live a purposeful life. Take time out and write down your goals to inspire you and motivate you to live a meaningful life. As long as there is clarity regarding direction, it shouldn’t matter how long you take and what you think about it.

8) Forgive Yourself

By forgiving yourself, you set yourself free. It’s a tool that helps us face what we’ve done in the past, accept our mistakes, and move on. Therefore, it is essential to reset yourself from time to time to live the life you have envisioned and not bother about others.

Conclusion

It is foolish to bother about what others think. Simply put, constantly thinking about it will weigh you down. It prevents you from life to the fullest and explores yourself to the fullest. True Happiness can also be found by understanding what’s going on inside and by valuing yourself. It’s a habit that needs to be practiced daily — finally liberating you and freeing you to live to your highest potential.
