Introduction: A Ritual can be defined as a method or process of doing something in which the actions are repeated in the same way every time. For example, it can be as easy as stretching yourself when you get up in the morning or having 2–3 glasses of warm water.

Why is it Relevant?

Here is some of the reason why it is beneficial:

1) It helps you to kick start your day

2) It helps to align you with your flow state

3) It is that time of the day when everything is quiet. Therefore, we have quiet time for ourselves to do what we want.

4) It helps you get organized and align your day with your priorities.

5) It helps you to become more productive.

6) It helps you to be in control of yourself irrespective of the external situations.

7) It helps you to get success.

A Ritual should not be confused with Routine?

Generally, we use ritual and routine interchangeably; however, there is a difference between a routine and a ritual. It is the intention behind the action. While routines can comprise certain activities or tasks or actions that need to be done — rituals are viewed as more meaningful practices driven internally and personally.

How to Bring ritual into your day?

To bring rituals in your daily practice, you need to consider, here are some of the aspects to consider:

· Create your environment: By taking care to create the environment, you introduce mindfulness, which is lacking from our actions.

· Intention: With the proper sense, it helps to kick start the practice. It also helps focus on the action required to achieve the desired results.

· Being Mindfulness: An important aspect is to be fully present in the moment. By being fully present, we become conscious of the action taken. We do not become distracted either by worrying about the past or future.

· Experimentation: Initially, you must explore and experiment with what works for you. You need to take it slow to finally decide on a ritual that works for you.

· Place for Observation: Ritual is a vital aspect of observing and evaluating what’s important to you, why this is important, and what holds you back. It also helps in the clarity of your aspirations.

· Expressing Gratitude: Expressing gratitude also helps you elevate your feelings and mood. It puts you in the right positive frame of mind.
